The house

Vaulted, with oak trusses, deep sofas, a big wood burner and a wall of glass onto the garden and marsh. Smart TV, record player and a shelf of books and games.
Kitchen and dining
A proper cook's kitchen with a range cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine and a long oak table that seats ten. Doors open onto the terrace.

Super-king bed under the vaulted ceiling, with marsh views and an en suite shower room.

What our guests say
The most beautiful barn. We spent every evening in the hot tub watching the sun go down over the marsh. Everything was spotless and so thoughtfully done.
Perfect for our two families. The kids lived in the bunk room and the long table meant we could all eat together. The guide in the barn was brilliant.
Came for the birdwatching, stayed for the wood burner. Kate and Rob are lovely hosts, and booking direct was so easy.

Miles of sand backed by dunes, pine woods and a row of colourful beach huts. Dogs are allowed all year at the western end.
The staithe
The little tidal harbour at the end of the lane. Crabbing at high tide, seal trips from the next village along, and the best sunsets.

A flint village with a friendly pub serving local mussels, a deli for breakfast supplies and a Saturday market.

We are Kate and Rob. We fell for this corner of the coast on a wet February weekend 15 years ago and have been coming back ever since. We live ten minutes away, so we are always on hand, and we have left a guide in the barn with all our favourite walks, pubs and places to eat.
